Film in 2023

If you read through our last post, you will know that we decided to reintroduce shooting film last year. We never truly gave it up for personal projects, but we took a break from shooting film at weddings, but decided that we wanted to bring it back. We loved the thought of adding another element to what we offer our couples who are getting married. We find so much joy sharing our love of film with people so it made perfect sense to share this love with the people who hire us to document one of the best days of their lives, their wedding. The textures, nostalgia and vibe that film creates is hard to recreate digitally and we absolutely love some of the quirks that come with our vintage cameras and to get back the scans from our lab is one of the more exciting parts of post production.

To go along with our year in review post, I wanted to share some favorite film scans from the weddings we photographed last summer and fall all in one post. We’ll be diving in even deeper this year!
